UNIHAMMER™ at International Association of Specialists for Horizontal Directional Drilling 2009 (MAS GNB)

During the annual seminar of International Association of Specialists for Horizontal Directional Drilling (MAS GNB), Universal HDD presented its revolutionary new air rock tool – UNIHAMMER™. The event took place in Gelendjik, Russia on October 8-9, 2009. The focus of the seminar was on horizontal directional drilling in geologically difficult grounds, and more specifically in rock.

The seminar examined all available rock drilling technologies, including Universal HDD’s UNIHAMMER™. In head to head testing, the UNIHAMMER™ out performed other air hammer systems and All-Terrain technologies.

By utilizing a most basic air compressor, the UNIHAMMER™ demonstrated remarkable results in pure rock. Moreover, extensive drilling in rock had no effect on drill bit or sonde housing. The second demonstration was through a solid block of concrete. The UNIHAMMER™ deliver outstanding results and proved its sheer power, speed and cost effectiveness when compared with other rock drilling technologies.

The UNIHAMMER™, is a new addition to Universal HDD’s extensive horizontal directional drilling product line. Compatible with all types of HDD rigs, the air hammer allows contractor to utilize their standard rigs in rocky grounds. It’s patent pending design surpasses any rock drilling technology in today’s market. The specific metal compound is used to deliver longest bit and housing life.
